Mum came into Cottingley Hall for respite in September 2023. She was quite ill, and frail after falling. She liked it so much after two weeks that she knew the time was right to move into residential care as living alone with Parkinson’s disease was no longer an option. Cottingley Hall has young enthusiastic staff who are all really lovely with all the residents, the staff all bounce off each other creating a really well-run team and happy atmosphere. The food is fantastic, and served really well making the resident feel like they are eating out in a silver served restaurant! With lots of puddings and cakes! The building is a very well-maintained old manor house with lots of history in beautiful gardens, the decor is stunning and beautiful, it’s always warm and cosy, very very clean, and never that smell sometimes associated with care homes. Housekeeping keep everything sparking clean. The nursing staff monitor everything, are courteous and keep in touch with us at all times.
