Gilmerton Neurological Care Centre
Our homes are more than just places of care and everyday living support. They’re also thriving communities in which each person feels part of the life of the home. Listening to our residents is one of the most important things we do each day, so that we can truly get to know them. We always pay special attention to people’s stories ─ because places filled with stories and warmth are places that everyone is happy to call home.
Four Seasons Health Care has a network of over 100 care homes across England and Scotland, employing approximately 9,000 team members and providing long-term and respite residential and nursing care, intermediate care, and palliative care to nearly 7,000 people.
We also offer rehabilitation and reablement for those who are have a health setback and just need time to recover. Our mental health and learning disability communities also support individuals to lead independent lives through empowering environments, understanding teams and holistic care plans.
Through our Home to Home Promise we support new residents and their families to make the move into a care home as relaxed and easy as possible. After all, feeling well looked after, comfortable and ready to start a new chapter in life is as much about creating a sense of home as it is about providing good quality care.

My partner has recently moved into the NCC at Gilmerton after a long stay in hospital. The whole process from being visited by staff from the NCC prior to admission then discharge from hospital was straightforward and easy. The staff have been very welcoming and understanding of his various needs. They have given him time to settle and have not overwhelmed us with information. He has been seen by the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist who will create a program for his continued rehab. Every member of staff we have spoken with has taken the time to introduce themselves and have all been very friendly, approachable, welcoming and understanding of my partner’s difficulties and happily remind him of their names when he forgets. We are looking forward to starting the next stage of his continued recovery and working with the team who I am confident will help and support us every step of the way.
