After a lengthy stay in the hospital, I required support at home, starting with three care calls a day. They were excellent at undertaking an assessment of my needs and ensuring I had carers in place within three days of leaving the hospital. They also arranged for a carer to accompany me to follow-up hospital appointments and an overnight stay after a hospital procedure. Just fetching some shopping and collecting medications was very helpful. The best thing is that the carers really felt as if they were a family team and that, as a client, I was part of that family. They helped me regain my confidence, and my recovery, as a result, has been far speedier than anticipated. Thank you, team – you have been amazing.

My mother had regular calls from Serenta HomeCare for a year and received good care. She was always pleased to see the carers and very much enjoyed their company. As far as possible, my mother had the same carer each morning, which was very reassuring for her, and they took a great interest in her and her life.

My mum has been a client of Serenta since 2019, and we have had an excellent experience with them from day one up until Mum went into nursing care in May 2022. The standard of care is excellent, and the organisation and communication with staff have also been excellent. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the staff really got to know my mum and deliver friendly and person-centred care. They listen to concerns and put things right straight away. My mum started with one call a day and went up to four calls a day, nursed in bed as she deteriorated. Serenta were there for Mum always, and I cannot recommend them highly enough for home care. The staff are well trained, and they take the time to do things properly.

My mother has had care from Serenta now for approximately 12 years. In all this time, I have nothing but praise for every aspect of their service. The care staff have been amazing, and also the office staff are always there to help with questions and any additional care we need. My mother looks forward to her daily visits, and it helps me too to know that someone is going in every day, and I will be notified should anything be a concern. Thank you, Serenta; I couldn’t manage without you.

Living so far away from my mum, it is and has been (since 2016 when we first encountered Serenta) a real blessing to know that she is being so well cared for. Mum relies heavily on the wonderful staff who visit her every day, and I know that all her day-to-day needs: medication, meals, shopping, cleaning, washing etc, are being done for her, as she is now unable to do so many of these things for herself.
I am kept updated on how she is doing from time to time, and if any concerns arise, Serenta will always contact me to let me know.
Because I live 250 miles from Sheffield, I cannot visit as frequently as I would like to, but I know that if a problem arises, Serenta will deal with it for me, which is a real relief.
It is a relief to know that my mother is safe, well, happy and cared for. She likes the staff – and on the occasions, I have visited when staff visit Mum, she gets on very well with them, and occasionally even enjoys a joke with one person in particular.
